Customer addresses that drivers can actually find
In Jordan, “the third building after the pharmacy” can be more useful than a street name. The trouble starts when the customer has to repeat the route on every call.

Nexara is a restaurant order and operations platform built in Amman, Jordan, that lets a restaurant find a customer by phone, bring up saved addresses and reuse the right one on a later order. The record can include landmarks, map pins and order history. The agent confirms the details before dispatch.
Figures in this post are illustrative examples, not a client's actual results.
What does Nexara save for each customer?
A customer record can hold the person’s phone number, saved addresses and past orders. When the same customer calls again, the agent searches by phone instead of creating a new delivery record from scratch.
Customers can use separate delivery points, such as a home in an illustrative area called Green Valley, an office near a fictional central market and a parents’ house in an illustrative hillside district. The agent selects the address that matches the order.
The saved address keeps the customer’s own wording with the record. “Behind the blue water tank” may help a driver more than an incomplete formal address.
How does a phone order reuse an address?
The agent enters the caller’s phone number. Nexara shows saved addresses and previous orders on the order screen. The agent selects the right address, confirms the details, adds the items and places the order.
- Ask for the caller’s mobile number.
- Open the matching customer record.
- Confirm the saved address with the caller.
- Confirm the landmark, map pin and delivery notes.
- Check the delivery zone and order type.
- Place the order and send it to dispatch.
The call-center feature is available on Nexara’s Pro plan. The order appears in the branch’s live order queue beside website, app, table QR, Talabat and Careem orders.

What should the agent ask about the address?
Buildings change, landmarks close and the caller may be ordering from work instead of home. Confirm the location that applies to this order.
| Ask for | Why it helps | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Area and street | Places the delivery in the right part of the city | Illustrative area: Cedar District, Market Road |
| Building description | Helps when numbers are missing or unclear | Illustrative example: white building beside a bakery |
| Landmark | Gives the driver a visible reference | Illustrative example: opposite a petrol station |
| Floor and apartment | Reduces calls at the door | Illustrative example: third floor, apartment 8 |
| Map pin | Shows the intended location on the map | Illustrative example: pin at the building entrance |
| Reachable phone | Lets the driver resolve the last few metres | Same number as the order |
Confirm the full route in one sentence: “Cedar District, behind the pharmacy, the white building beside the bakery, third floor, apartment 8, with the pin at the entrance. Is that still correct?” The customer can correct the record before the order leaves the branch.
Why do landmarks and map pins work together?
A map pin gives the driver a geographic point. A landmark explains how to recognise the entrance when the pin lands near several buildings, a side road or a large compound.
Ask whether the driver should use a rear gate, main road or another entrance, and whether the visible landmark is still there.
- Use the area and street for broad direction.
- Use the map pin for the intended location.
- Use landmarks for visual recognition.
- Use floor, apartment and entrance notes for the final handoff.
- Use the phone number when the driver reaches the area.
Nexara supports branch-configured delivery zones. The branch can set its delivery boundaries so the agent checks whether the address belongs to that branch’s service area.
What happens after the address is confirmed?
The order appears on Nexara’s live order board, the kitchen ticket prints, and the order can be sent to a delivery provider or the restaurant’s own driver process.
For own delivery, Nexara supports dispatch through Careem Express, TopDeliver and Nashmi. A restaurant can also use its own drivers, with a driver role available in the platform.
The address stays attached to the order history. If the customer gives a new address, save it as a separate location instead of overwriting the old one.
How should a restaurant keep addresses accurate?
The numbers below are an illustrative example, not a client's actual figures. A branch doing 60 to 400 orders a day may lose time through repeated address calls. If 20 of 120 daily orders need one extra address call, measure where those calls come from before changing the process.
- Search by phone before asking the customer to repeat everything.
- Offer saved addresses by name, such as Home or Office.
- Ask whether the landmark is still correct.
- Confirm the pin is at the driver’s entrance.
- Separate a new location from an edited location.
- Record useful driver corrections in the delivery notes.
- Call the customer if the address and map pin disagree.
Start with three checks: duplicate customer records, driver calls for directions and customer corrections to old landmarks. These checks show whether the issue is missing data, poor confirmation or a misplaced pin.
What to remember
- Search by phone to bring up saved addresses and order history.
- Use landmarks, map pins and entrance notes together.
- Confirm every saved address before dispatch.
- Keep a new delivery point separate from an old one.
- Nexara puts the confirmed order on the board and prints it in the kitchen.
Questions people ask
Can Nexara save more than one address for a customer?
Yes. Customer records include addresses and order history. The agent finds the record by phone and selects the relevant saved address.
Can I save a delivery landmark with the address?
Yes. Keep the landmark and delivery notes with the address so the driver has practical directions alongside the area and map pin.
Does Nexara use map pins for delivery addresses?
Yes. Confirm that the pin marks the correct entrance, especially for compounds, towers and buildings with more than one access road.
Can the call center find a customer by phone number?
Yes. The agent types the caller’s phone number and the saved record, addresses and past orders appear on the call-center order screen.
Can drivers receive addresses from Nexara?
Nexara can send restaurant delivery orders through Careem Express, TopDeliver or Nashmi, or support the restaurant’s own drivers.
What if the customer’s old address is wrong?
Confirm the area, landmark, pin, entrance and phone number. Update the address or add a separate location before placing the order.
Can customers update an address through Nexara’s WhatsApp tool?
Nexara’s WhatsApp tool is a call-center inbox, not an address-update channel. The agent can update the customer record during the call.
