NexaraFlow: Sunday morning, already assigned

Sunday opening should not depend on whether you remembered to message every branch manager.

Sunday morning, already assigned

Nexara, the restaurant order and operations platform built in Amman, Jordan, assigns recurring work by role and branch through NexaraFlow. Tasks have stages and SLA clocks, with escalation for overdue work. Workflows require the Pro plan. Start with an opening-checklist walkthrough to check assignments and see how overdue tasks are handled.

Figures in this post are illustrative examples, not a client's actual results.

Who owns the Sunday count when nobody sends a reminder?

The branch is opening, replenishment needs a decision, and the morning count is still waiting for someone to claim it. A checklist can describe the work without settling who owns it. NexaraFlow adds recurring schedules and branch assignments, with role-scoped queues in My Tasks.

At opening, “check stock” is too loose to hand over. Name the count to complete and the role responsible. Set the deadline according to when someone needs the result for replenishment. That gives the person doing the count a clear handoff, and the manager a specific task to review.

NexaraFlow includes six seeded templates: Morning Inventory, Daily Inspection, Vehicle Inspection, Branch Orders, Escalated Complaint and Bloub Insight Action. Use these as starting points, then review the stages against your own operating procedure. For Daily Inspection, bring the checks your branch manager already performs before opening.

Nexara sits beside the till as the order and operations layer. NexaraFlow handles workflow within that platform. The Nexara feature catalogue explains the surrounding order and inventory tools.

How would a Sunday opening schedule work?

Suppose your opening procedure needs a morning count before branch replenishment decisions. Agree the ownership and timing before configuring a recurring schedule. This example maps an opening procedure to Nexara's role names; choose the assignments that match your own team.

WorkResponsible roleExample deadlineWhat the procedure should require
Morning inventoryinventory_manager08:30Complete the opening count and identify discrepancies.
Daily inspectionbranch_manager08:45Check opening readiness and identify anything needing correction.
Branch stock requestinventory_manager09:00Review the count before deciding what stock to request.
Unfinished opening workarea_manager09:15 reviewEstablish the blocker and agree who will handle it.

Build the relevant templates and stages, set the schedules, then assign the participating branches. NexaraFlow supports each of those configuration elements. Automatic dependencies between scheduled tasks are not confirmed, so demonstrate the count-to-replenishment handoff during setup if your procedure depends on it.

Nexara also provides inventory counts, count progress and branch stock requests. Use the inventory record for the quantities and the workflow task for assigning the work and tracking its timing. The morning inventory count playbook covers the counting procedure behind the task.

What do SLA clocks and escalation actually mean?

SLA means service-level agreement. In a restaurant workflow, the clock tracks the time commitment attached to a task. NexaraFlow runs an SLA escalation check every 5 minutes and a separate general escalation check every 30 minutes. Escalation is checked on those intervals rather than continuously.

Test the mechanism with an unfinished task in the walkthrough. Note its deadline, leave it overdue, then inspect its escalation state after the relevant check runs. Compare the task's role and branch assignment with the account reviewing it. You should be able to follow the same task from assignment through the overdue review.

Before configuring a deadline, agree what it covers. Is completion due, or does the work need to reach a reviewer first? Set the stages around that handoff. For a morning count, the useful deadline is the point when the person handling replenishment needs the completed count.

  • Give each recurring task a responsible role covered during the relevant shift.
  • Set each deadline against an operating need, such as the stock-request decision.
  • Agree who takes responsibility when the original owner needs help.
  • Test an overdue task and its escalation before using the workflow during service.

Give the person handling escalation authority to act. A late vehicle inspection, for example, needs someone who can arrange an inspection or hold the vehicle until the check is complete.

Where do photos and complaint cases fit?

Complaint cases in Nexara support photos, SLA minutes and a routing ladder, and they sync to workflow tasks. Their status chips include open, breached, escalated and resolved. NexaraFlow also includes an Escalated Complaint template.

An agent can log a complaint from the call-center screen. Supporting photos stay with the case, while the synced workflow task puts follow-up into the task process. During evaluation, trace a case into its workflow task and check who is responsible for the next action.

For routine workflow stages, support for mandatory photos, signatures and completion-blocking checkboxes is not confirmed. Bring an inspection procedure with your evidence requirements and check those requirements during the demonstration.

For a complaint, separate the evidence from the action needed. A photo might show damaged packaging. The follow-up still needs a decision about the customer's problem and someone responsible for carrying it out. Review the case and task together when checking completion.

The guide to complaint cases and SLA clocks explains the routing and follow-up process.

What should an area manager review across branches?

Nexara has an area_manager role, user-to-branch assignments and permissions. NexaraFlow provides branch assignments, workflow statistics and PDF export. Configure each manager's access around the branches they supervise.

Test access using the actual manager accounts. Open My Tasks as a branch manager, then review the permitted branch scope as an area manager. This checks what each person will work with during opening, when the owner may be away from the dashboard.

Start the area review with unfinished work. Ask the responsible person about the blocker, then agree the next action. Use workflow statistics to support a discussion about recurring delays, and inspect the underlying work when reviewing quality. A completed inspection deserves a different conversation from an inspection repeatedly left overdue.

Inside workflow, central_inventory is treated as inventory_manager. Check that mapping when assigning central stock responsibilities, particularly if your central team and branch inventory staff share parts of the replenishment procedure.

Use the PDF export during a review meeting and agree follow-up with the responsible person. For the wider access discussion, see multi-branch restaurant operations in Jordan.

How should you test NexaraFlow before rollout?

Bring a procedure your team already uses so you can compare the configured workflow with the work on the floor. Nexara has a free plan plus paid plans per branch in JOD, with current rates on request.

  1. Choose an existing opening checklist with clear ownership and a deadline tied to an operating decision.
  2. Map the procedure to a template and stages. Identify where a manager must make a decision.
  3. Set the schedule and branch assignments. Check each responsible person's role and branch access.
  4. Run the procedure through My Tasks, including an overdue example. Observe the SLA escalation behaviour.
  5. Review workflow statistics and the PDF export. Trace a complaint case separately if photos are part of your evaluation.

NexaraFlow schedules operational tasks; staff scheduling and an attendance time clock are unavailable today. Use your rota to establish who is working, then check that each assigned role has someone available to do the work.

Questions people ask

What is NexaraFlow?

It is Nexara's workflow feature for recurring branch work, assigned by role with deadlines and escalation.

Can I use it as a restaurant checklist app per role?

You can organise recurring checklist work through templates and stages assigned by role and branch. Use My Tasks to review the work presented to each responsible role.

How quickly does an overdue restaurant task escalate?

The SLA escalation check runs every 5 minutes, and the general escalation check runs every 30 minutes. These are checking intervals, so escalation is not continuous.

Can customer complaints become workflow tasks?

Yes. Nexara complaint cases sync to workflow tasks and support a routing ladder, SLA minutes and photos.

Can an area manager review work across branches?

Yes, within their configured branch permissions. NexaraFlow includes workflow statistics and PDF export for reviewing the work.

Is NexaraFlow included in the free plan?

No. NexaraFlow requires Pro.
