What information does a customer receipt show?

A customer receipt should let someone answer four questions quickly: which restaurant took the order, what was purchased, what did it cost, and when was it issued. Nexara's receipt template is built around that practical reading order rather than a decorative layout.

The exact appearance depends on the template assigned to the printer. A delivery receipt can be arranged differently from a dine-in or pickup receipt, while the restaurant still keeps the same order information available in Nexara's order records.

How does Arabic and English printing work?

Most thermal printers do not contain an Arabic font. Nexara handles Arabic receipt printing by rendering Arabic lines for the printer, so the letters keep their correct connected shape. English can appear on the same ticket. This is useful when the customer reads English but the kitchen or cashier works mainly in Arabic.

The result is a bilingual receipt template, not two unrelated printouts. You can choose where Arabic and English appear in the receipt layout through the visual template builder. Nexara supports ordinary ESC/POS thermal printers over USB or a network, including common Epson, Star and Bixolon models.

Can you add a logo and customise the template?

Yes. Nexara includes a visual template builder for receipts and kitchen tickets. You can use the restaurant logo and arrange the receipt content in a format that suits the branch. Templates support Arabic and English, can be assigned per printer, and are validated before use.

1. Upload the logo in Company settings > Branding.
2. Open the receipt template builder.
3. Choose the receipt language arrangement.
4. Place the order, item, total and tax fields.
5. Assign the template to the relevant printer.
6. Print a test receipt before service.

A restaurant with separate cashier and kitchen printers can assign the appropriate template to each printer. The customer receipt can carry the commercial detail the customer needs, while the kitchen ticket can focus on preparation. The two formats are managed in the same printing area.

How is the tax line displayed?

Nexara seeds Jordan VAT at 16% as the default tax. When tax is applied to an order, the receipt can show it as its own line instead of hiding it inside an unexplained total. The customer can then distinguish the order amount from the tax amount and the final total.

The tax line is a receipt field, not proof of government e-invoicing registration. The business still needs to confirm its own tax and invoicing obligations in Jordan before choosing a receipt format.

What does Nexara not customise or replace?

Nexara customises the receipt template, language presentation, logo placement and printed order information. It is the order and operations layer beside the till, not a POS or cash register.

Orders from the website, phone, table QR, Talabat and Careem can arrive on the order board and print, while the cashier records the day's net sale at close for reconciliation.
