How to put your Nexara ordering site on your own domain
You want the address on your takeaway bags to open your restaurant’s ordering page. If an old website or staff email already uses the domain, one wrong DNS edit can take both offline.

Nexara gives your restaurant branded ordering on your own domain through a restaurant order and operations platform built in Amman, Jordan. Custom domains start on Starter. Use a domain you control, arrange the DNS changes, then verify the address and HTTPS through the founder’s assisted setup on WhatsApp before sharing the link.
1. Choose the address customers will use
Start with a domain registered to your restaurant, or buy one through a domain registrar. Keep the account under an email address you control. Record the renewal date and account owner so the address stays with the restaurant when an employee or outside designer leaves.
Choose whether ordering belongs at your main website address or at an ordering subdomain. A subdomain is a separate address under the same domain, often beginning with “order”. If your main address already carries opening hours, photographs and directions, an ordering subdomain gives customers a separate ordering destination.
Nexara supports a branded ordering site on a Nexara subdomain or a custom domain. Its storefront comes from your menu, with theme colours taken from your uploaded logo. Use the restaurant ordering websites in Jordan checklist when deciding what the storefront must contain.
- Write down the exact address customers should type.
- Confirm who can sign in to the domain account.
- Check whether an existing website or email uses the domain.
- Keep the renewal contact and payment details current.
2. Confirm the plan and prepare your Nexara storefront
The Free plan provides a Nexara subdomain with the “Powered by Nexara” badge. Custom domains are available from Starter. Nexara has a free plan plus paid plans per branch in JOD, with current rates on request. Include your branch requirements when discussing the subscription.
Prepare the menu before promoting the address. Check product names, prices and available extras against what staff can serve. Nexara supports modifiers and per-branch availability, so review the branch customers will order from. Printing is available on Growth with 1 printer and on Pro with unlimited printers; Free and Starter include 0 printers. The Nexara feature overview shows how website orders fit beside the order board.
3. Arrange the DNS changes with assisted setup
DNS records direct a domain to the service that should answer for it. They are managed by your DNS provider, which may be different from the company where you bought the domain.
Send your chosen address and provider name to Nexara founder Issa Al-Dalu on WhatsApp for assisted setup. Have the domain manager available to apply the instructions. Nexara will provide the exact record names and values, including a verification token and the address records required for the chosen domain.
Keep a copy of the existing DNS entries before editing. A domain can support both a website and business email, so protect those records before changing ordering-related entries. Copy the supplied values exactly.
| Prepare this | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Chosen ordering address | Shows which address should open the Nexara storefront. |
| DNS provider and account access | Identifies where the records can be changed. |
| Existing website and email details | Protects services already using the domain. |
| Current Nexara storefront | Shows which restaurant site the address should open. |

4. Connect the address and check its certificate
Nexara provides custom-domain verification with a verification token and a canonical host. Verification establishes control of the domain, while the canonical address identifies the home of your ordering site. During assisted setup, Issa confirms that the address is connected to the correct restaurant.
Typing the chosen address opens your branded Nexara menu over HTTPS. The founder confirms the connection and certificate for you during assisted setup.
Check the full address with HTTPS. If the browser displays a certificate warning, send the exact warning and address to the founder before promoting the link.
DNS changes can become visible at different times because previously saved records may remain in use temporarily. Check the domain connection before setting a launch time for packaging or a customer campaign.
5. Test the address as a customer
Open the custom address on your phone and follow the ordering path. Nexara’s storefront supports Arabic and English, with a visible language switch, and checkout uses a customer phone verification code.
- Type the custom address directly into the browser and check that your restaurant’s menu opens securely.
- Use the Arabic and English switch, then review names, prices and available options.
- Add an item with extras and review the basket before checkout.
- Complete phone verification and place a clearly identified test order using an enabled payment method.
- Confirm that the order appears on the correct branch’s order board.
- Check the kitchen ticket.
Website checkout supports cash on delivery or pickup, online card payments through HyperPay when the company enables them, and pay at the counter for dine-in. Tell the branch about the test before submitting it.
Repeat the address check using mobile data as well as the restaurant’s Wi-Fi. Record what each browser shows if the results differ.
6. Publish the checked link where customers find you
After the test passes, update the ordering link on your social profiles and Google Business Profile. Open each saved link from a customer’s phone. For printed packaging, scan a QR proof and confirm its destination before approving the print run.
Nexara storefronts can be installed as apps from the browser. Once the custom address is checked, include an installable restaurant app on your own domain in your customer-facing instructions.
Keep the domain account details with your restaurant’s business records. Domain renewal remains an ongoing responsibility after launch, especially if an outside designer registered the address.
To arrange the setup, send Issa your chosen ordering address, domain provider and existing storefront link on WhatsApp through nexaratech.io. He answers in Arabic and English during Amman hours.

- Custom domains start on Starter, and the Powered by Nexara badge is removed on Starter and up.
