Your restaurant website and app in Jordan (without an agency)

Thursday evening in Amman: a customer orders extra garlic, and someone at the counter copies the note onto a kitchen slip. With Nexara, the modifier appears on the printed ticket.

Your domain. Your menu. Printed kitchen tickets.

Nexara, a restaurant order and operations platform built in Amman, Jordan, gives your restaurant a bilingual ordering website and installable app without an agency. Orders appear on one branch board. Custom domains require Starter or higher; kitchen printing starts on Growth. Start by uploading your logo and entering your menu.

How does the website become your restaurant's own channel?

Nexara generates the ordering site from your menu and extracts theme colours from your uploaded logo. You do not need a separate design project to start taking orders. Customers can browse the storefront in Arabic or English, and staff have both languages in the dashboard.

The Free plan uses a Nexara subdomain and carries a Powered by Nexara badge. A custom domain starts on Starter. During setup, you verify ownership of that domain and set it as the storefront's primary address. Have your domain account login ready.

The menu supports categories, modifiers and modifier groups, with availability controlled per branch. Before launch, check whether each extra has the right price and whether unavailable items are correctly marked. Read the Arabic descriptions against what the kitchen will actually prepare.

The menu drives the site. Your job is to check the content and ordering choices; Nexara supplies the logo-themed storefront and connects its orders to the branch board.

Is the restaurant app a separate app-store project?

No. The Nexara storefront is a progressive web app (PWA). Customers install your restaurant's ordering site from their browser. The included app does not require an App Store or Google Play download.

Customers can also order in the browser without installing it. Returning customers can open the installed storefront from their home screen. The installation prompt and steps depend on the browser and device, so check the experience on the phones your customers use before writing instructions.

Each storefront has its own sitemap and crawl instructions for search engines. These help search engines discover its pages; search ranking depends on more than page discovery. Use clear menu names and check that your restaurant information is accurate.

The guide to an installable restaurant app on your own domain explains browser installation in more detail. Include the installation steps in your launch announcement, alongside the ordering link.

What payment methods does the website support?

For website orders, Nexara supports cash on delivery or pickup and online card payment through HyperPay when your company enables it. Checkout includes customer phone verification using a one-time code. Use the payment routes below when preparing your launch announcement.

Nexara charges no commission on orders from your own website or app. Budget for payment-provider charges and delivery costs separately. Talabat and Careem keep their own commissions on orders they bring.

The cash, card and CliQ payment guide separates the payment routes. For the commercial side, read what commission-free online ordering means in Jordan.

How do website orders reach the board and kitchen printer?

Website and app orders enter the branch's Live Orders queue. The same board also receives phone, table QR, Talabat and Careem orders when those channels are enabled. Open dashboard screens receive live updates, with website orders appearing directly in the branch's order list.

The Nexara Printing desktop app runs on the branch's Windows PC and connects to standard ESC/POS thermal printers over USB or network. Bluetooth printing is not supported. Check the connection type of your existing kitchen printer before setup.

Kitchen tickets print Arabic item names and modifiers, and can carry English too. You assign menu categories to each printer: for example, drinks can print at the bar while food prints at the kitchen station. Read a test ticket at each station before service.

What should you prepare before opening the ordering link?

Signup uses a phone number and a one-time SMS code. No payment card or commercial registration is required to create the account. Nexara provides an ordering link the day you sign up, but your own launch should wait until you have checked the menu and order route.

  1. Prepare your logo and menu. Enter the Arabic and English wording you want customers to read, including prices and modifier choices.
  2. Check branch availability. Mark unavailable products correctly rather than relying on a phone call after the customer orders.
  3. Connect your chosen address. Use the Nexara subdomain or select a plan with custom-domain support and complete domain verification.
  4. Enable the payment methods you will accept. Test cash ordering and, if enabled, the HyperPay card flow.
  5. Place a test order from a customer's phone. Complete phone verification, confirm the order reaches the branch board, then open the customer tracking link.
  6. Test kitchen output if printing is included. Read the Arabic item names and modifiers on the actual ticket, then confirm the correct station receives it.

Treat the test order as a service rehearsal. Assign someone to watch the board and move orders through preparation. Make that responsibility explicit before the first customer order arrives, including who takes over during a break.

Which plan fits a website with kitchen printing?

Nexara has a free plan, then paid plans per branch in Jordanian dinar (JOD). Current pricing is on request via WhatsApp or the contact page. Free includes 20 products and a monthly cap of 30 website and QR orders combined. It lets you try the storefront within those limits.

Starter adds a custom domain and unlimited products and website orders. Free and Starter do not include printers. Growth includes one printer, while Pro supports unlimited printers. For the full website-to-ticket route described here, choose Growth or Pro according to the number of printers your branch needs. The call center is a Pro feature.

Delivery booking is a separate decision. Nexara supports dispatch to Careem Express, TopDeliver and Nashmi. Growth allows one delivery provider, while Free and Starter include none. Taking a delivery order on your site and booking a courier are different steps.

Customer records belong to the restaurant and include addresses and order history. Nexara supports customer and order CSV exports and does not market to your customers. Those records remain yours when you use the direct ordering channel.
