SAJ print templates inspire an illustrative Nexara workflow
The phone rings while the cook waits for a readable ticket. Inspired by SAJ's production print templates, the restaurant sequence and numbers below are an illustrative example, not a client's actual figures.

Nexara gives restaurants Arabic kitchen tickets and a branch order board beside the till, which remains separate. It is a restaurant order and operations platform built in Amman, Jordan. SAJ production print templates are used in Nexara's printing checks. Start with a walkthrough using your own menu and printer.
Figures in this post are illustrative examples, not a client's actual results.
What do SAJ's print templates tell us?
SAJ's production print templates are used in Nexara's printing checks. For an owner, the useful starting point is the paper the cook receives: Arabic item names and modifiers need to be readable at the kitchen's working position, not only in a preview on an office screen.
That makes printing a practical starting point for this evening in an Amman saj restaurant. The manager follows an order from entry to the kitchen, then checks what happens when stock runs short and the phone rings during service.
| Area | Verified fact | What an owner can inspect |
|---|---|---|
| SAJ printing | Production print templates used in Nexara's printing checks. | Arabic kitchen-ticket layout. |
| Nexara menus | Shared catalogue, channel-specific menus and per-branch availability. | The menu shown for each location. |
| Nexara order intake | One branch order board for phone, website, app, table QR, Talabat and Careem orders. | The branch receiving each order. |
| Nexara morning review | Order history, channel reports and cashier reconciliation. | Recorded orders and the cashier's closing entry. |
Nexara founder Issa Al-Dalu built the platform in Amman and answers support himself. A year went into the printing engine alone. The Nexara company background explains that work.
How does one menu handle different branch availability?
Before evening service, the manager checks whether each branch's menu matches what its kitchen can make. Nexara holds products and modifier groups in a shared catalogue. Menu channels control which menu customers see, while per-branch availability lets one location mark an item unavailable.
Service starts, and a filling runs out at one location while another still has stock. The manager changes availability for the affected branch, then checks its ordering menu. The other location keeps selling the item. The product remains in the shared catalogue, ready for availability to be restored after replenishment.
The immediate task is to stop taking new orders for the unavailable item. Staff should also review orders already accepted and contact any affected customer before choosing a replacement. Changing what the next customer can order and resolving an existing order are separate jobs.
Nexara supports catalogue updates to Talabat and Careem. Activation depends on partner approval, with the correct branch and menu items matched during setup. See the menu and branch features and Talabat and Careem order intake for those controls.
What happens when online orders and the phone overlap?
An online order arrives while a staff member takes a call. Both need to reach the right kitchen without staff copying order details between screens. Nexara brings supported channels onto one live order board per branch, with updates appearing on open dashboard screens.
Website and installable-app orders join phone orders entered by staff. Table QR, Talabat and Careem orders reach the same branch board. The restaurant can follow incoming work in one place even when customers choose different ways to order.
The staff member types a saved customer's phone number into the call-center screen. Saved addresses and past orders appear. This time, the caller wants delivery to a different address. The staff member confirms the destination and changes to the order before submission. An unsaved-order warning flags an unfinished draft if the staff member leaves it.
Once submitted, the order can move through preparing, ready for pickup and out for delivery. Later, when the caller asks about progress, staff can locate the order rather than interrupting the cook to reconstruct it. Call center is a Pro-plan feature; the phone order-taking workflow explains the screen.
How does the kitchen get a readable Arabic ticket?
Nexara prints on standard ESC/POS thermal printers connected by USB or network. Tickets go to the selected branch and printer group, with category controls deciding which items each printer receives. A kitchen printer can receive food categories while another printer handles the categories assigned to it.
The ticket carries readable Arabic item names and modifiers, with English available on the same paper. The cook prepares the order from that ticket while staff follow its progress on the branch order board.
During service, a printer stops answering. The order stays on the board and its ticket waits in the print queue. Staff can re-route categories from the dashboard, or automatic failover can select a backup printer where one is configured.
- Open the affected order on the branch board and confirm which kitchen should receive it.
- Open Printing, check the affected printer and confirm that Nexara Printing is connected on the branch PC.
- Re-route the affected categories to a working printer from the dashboard.
- Inspect the waiting tickets when the printer returns. Use manual reprint when staff deliberately need a replacement copy.
Nexara protects against automatic duplicate printing, while keeping manual replacement copies available. Tell the cook when you request a replacement so the extra sheet is handled correctly. The kitchen printing engine guide covers routing and duplicate protection.
What can the manager check the next morning?
The branch finishes the day with 180 completed orders averaging 7 JOD, giving a sales total of 1,260 JOD. If the cashier recorded 1,246 JOD at close on the same sales basis, the difference to investigate is 14 JOD. That gives the morning review a specific starting point.
Open Orders and Channels to inspect the recorded activity, then compare End of Day with Cashier Reconciliation. Compare like with like: use the same period and treatment of discounts and refunds. Sales totals also need to be separated by payment method before comparing them with cash collected.
Use Order History search and filters to examine the difference at order level. Check the entries behind it before deciding whether the close was entered incorrectly or an order needs attention. Nexara provides cashier net sales and cash reconciliation views for this review.
Next, review sales of the item whose filling ran out in Product by Branch. Check its current availability before opening and restore it if the kitchen has replenished stock. If a caller complained during service, the complaint logged from the call screen gives the manager a recorded problem to follow up.
How do you test this with your own menu?
Bring your menu, printer model and connection type to the walkthrough. Nexara supports standard ESC/POS printers through Nexara Printing on a Windows PC. Use this acceptance checklist before asking staff to depend on the setup during service.
- Enter an order with a long Arabic item name, an extra filling on that item and another item left unchanged. Confirm the price and selected modifier on the order screen.
- Read the physical ticket from the cook's working position. Confirm that the extra filling sits with the correct item and inspect English too if your team uses it.
- Confirm that the order reaches the intended branch and that each printer receives its assigned categories.
- Change availability at one location and inspect each branch's ordering menu separately.
- Practise a printer interruption. Have staff locate the waiting ticket and route it to the intended backup printer.
- Find the test order in Order History and identify the reports staff will use at close.
Nexara has a free plan plus paid plans per branch in Jordanian dinar, with current rates on request. Printing starts on Growth; Pro includes the call-center screen. Match the plan to the work you intend to test, especially if phone ordering is part of the shift.

Questions people ask
How does SAJ use Nexara?
SAJ production print templates are used in Nexara's printing checks.
Is Nexara the cash register or something else?
Nexara sits beside the till as the order and operations layer. Orders reach a branch board and print in the kitchen; the cashier records the day's net sale at close for reconciliation.
Can one menu have different availability at each branch?
Yes. Nexara combines a shared product catalogue with per-branch availability, so one location can stop selling an item while another keeps it available.
Can Nexara print saj orders in Arabic and English?
Yes. Tickets can carry readable Arabic item names and modifiers, with English on the same ticket, on standard ESC/POS thermal printers.
Will orders still print if the internet goes down?
Orders keep arriving in the cloud queue while your connection is down, and the printer catches up when it returns. The board itself needs a connection, so a phone hotspot beside the printer PC is a sensible backup.
How do I check an order after service?
Use Order History search and filters to locate the order. Reports also provide views across channels and products, alongside End of Day and Cashier Reconciliation.
