Who Nexara is not for
Your cashier should not have to learn another screen just to pass the same order to the kitchen. Buy for the job your current setup leaves unfinished.

Skip Nexara if you only need a till, or require JoFotara, deep ERP accounting or local support outside Jordan. It is a restaurant order and operations platform built in Amman, Jordan, for the Arabic-speaking Middle East. It sits beside the till for order intake and kitchen operations, with live deployments in Jordan today.
Only need a cash register? Keep the purchase that simple
A single-till café that takes orders at the counter and only wants to record sales should choose a till suited to that job. Nexara sits beside the till as the order and operations layer. Adding it makes sense when there is order-handling work for it to take on.
Phone, website, app, table QR, Talabat and Careem orders arrive in one live queue per branch. If your counter already handles everything comfortably and you have no plans for those channels, a shared queue may solve nothing urgent.
Branch size is not the deciding factor. A branded ordering website gives customers a direct way to order; Arabic kitchen tickets carry item names and modifiers to the cook. Write down where your orders arrive and how they reach the kitchen. The restaurant POS guide for Jordan explains where the order layer belongs beside the cashier’s existing setup.
Need deep ERP accounting? Start with the finance requirements
Nexara covers inventory costing and operational reporting; full accounting and ERP connections require another provider today. Its inventory tools include recipes, stock counts, suppliers and purchase orders. Its financial, end-of-day and cashier reconciliation reports help you review sales and the cashier’s close.
For a chain whose buying decision starts with finance, ask the accountant to describe the handover between branch operations and the books. Which records must reach the accounting software automatically? Which can staff enter by hand? “We need accounting” leaves too much open.
Take an inventory purchase order and a day-end report into that discussion. Have the accountant explain how each would enter the current finance process. If an automatic connection is mandatory, select software that provides it. If a manual handover is acceptable, judge the order layer separately on how it handles incoming orders and kitchen work.
Need JoFotara today? Choose a verified invoicing route
Nexara prints kitchen tickets and receipts in Arabic and English on standard ESC/POS thermal printers; JoFotara e-invoicing is unavailable today. A restaurant requiring JoFotara submission needs a provider that can demonstrate that process.
Have your accountant specify the invoicing process your restaurant needs. Then ask the invoicing provider to demonstrate a complete submission and show where your staff can check its result. Make that part of the buying decision before training the team or changing the cashier’s routine.
If you are keeping separate tools for invoicing and orders, assign responsibility for each step between them. The cashier should know which system issues the invoice and which screen holds the order. The current product boundary is also covered in what Nexara does not do yet.
Outside Jordan and need local support? Check the boundary
Nexara’s live deployments today are in Jordan. Support is remote through WhatsApp and email on Amman hours, in Arabic and English, and founder Issa Al-Dalu answers. Restaurants requiring an on-site technician abroad need a provider with local service coverage.
The platform runs through a browser, with the Windows print agent for local printing. Talabat and Careem activation is per market and subject to partner approval. Ask about activation in your market with the country and the order channels you intend to use.
Compare your service hours with the support hours before committing. Decide who at the branch will check the printer PC and connection during a busy shift. If remote support on Amman hours suits that arrangement, location alone need not rule the platform out.
Which other limitations can rule Nexara out?
Check your equipment and required channels before arranging a trial. Nexara uses a browser-based order board and a local print agent, so the branch’s connection and printer interfaces matter. Use the table to identify requirements that would stop the purchase.
| Your requirement | Nexara today | Buying implication |
|---|---|---|
| An offline order board or cash register | Orders keep arriving in the cloud queue during a branch outage, and printing catches up after reconnection; the board needs a connection. | Offline counter trading needs a separate till. A phone hotspot can provide backup connectivity for the board and printer PC. |
| Kitchen display screens | Kitchen tickets print instead. | Choose a screen-based provider if paper tickets cannot support your kitchen routine. |
| Jahez or DHUB integration | Neither is offered today. | If either connection is essential, choose a provider that supports it. |
| WhatsApp order notifications | WhatsApp provides a conversation inbox for call-center roles; automated order notifications are unavailable. | A required notification workflow needs another provider. |
| On-premise or hybrid deployment | Nexara is cloud only. | A local-server deployment policy requires different software. |
| Bluetooth kitchen printers | Printing supports standard ESC/POS printers over USB or network; Bluetooth printing is not implemented. | Check each printer’s model and available connections before committing. |
Reservations and waitlists are unavailable, as are staff scheduling and a time clock. Promotions include a loyalty-points campaign type; a full loyalty programme is unavailable. If any of these functions drives the purchase, include it as a separate requirement in the software assessment.
Who is Nexara actually for?
Nexara fits restaurants that need orders from several channels to reach the kitchen in one queue. Arabic tickets can route by product category to kitchen, bar or cashier printers, with English on the same ticket. Staff can check order history with search and filters.
For direct ordering, restaurants get a branded website that customers can install from their browser as an app. Orders through the restaurant’s own website, app and call center carry no platform commission. Talabat and Careem keep their own commission on orders they bring.
For branch operations, managers can set menu availability per branch and assign users by role. NexaraFlow handles recurring timed tasks with escalation, so an owner can assign branch work and check its progress alongside incoming orders.
Call center and NexaraFlow require Pro; QR dine-in starts on Growth. Printing starts on Growth with one printer, while Pro allows unlimited printers. Free and Starter exclude printers. Match the Nexara order and operations features you need to the proposed plan before comparing costs.
How should you decide before changing anything?
Nexara has a free plan plus paid plans per branch in JOD, with current rates on request. Before comparing subscriptions, follow an order through your current setup. Note where someone retypes it or carries it to the kitchen. Those are the steps to test in a demonstration.
- Write down the service problem you want to fix. Separate order handling from taking payments and maintaining accounts.
- Mark each non-negotiable requirement, including any invoicing obligation or need to trade offline.
- Record your order channels and printer models. For a restaurant outside Jordan, include the country and required support hours.
- Ask for a demonstration that follows an order from arrival to kitchen ticket, then cancellation or close. Request written confirmation of the plan needed for that workflow.
Tell Nexara at nexaratech.io what could stop you buying. Use the WhatsApp button below to send that requirement with your country, order channels and printer models. We’ll confirm whether the workflow is supported today and which plan covers it.
What to remember
- Choose a till if recording counter sales is the whole requirement.
- JoFotara and accounting connections require another provider today.
- Outside Jordan, confirm support fit and market-specific partner activation.
- Consider Nexara for shared order intake, Arabic kitchen printing and branch operations.
Questions people ask
I only have one branch. Is Nexara right for my restaurant?
It can be. One branch taking orders from several channels can use the shared queue; a café buying only for counter sales is better served by a till suited to that job.
Will my accountant still need their own software?
Yes. Nexara covers inventory costing and financial reports; accounting and ERP connections require a separate finance setup.
I need JoFotara now. Can Nexara handle it?
JoFotara e-invoicing is unavailable today. Choose a provider that can demonstrate the invoicing process your accountant requires.
My restaurant is outside Jordan. Can I use Nexara?
It can run through a browser with the Windows print agent, while live deployments today are in Jordan. Support follows Amman hours, and Talabat or Careem activation needs confirmation for your market.
What happens to orders if the branch internet drops?
Orders keep arriving in the cloud queue, and printing catches up when the branch reconnects; the order board needs a connection. Keep a phone hotspot available beside the printer PC for backup.
Can I try it without paying or entering a card?
Yes, Nexara has a free plan and signup requires no card. Kitchen printing requires Growth or Pro, so include the required printer plan when arranging that part of the test.
