SHUBBAK · TERMS OF USE · VERSION 2026-10-23
Shubbak Terms of Use
Who we are
Shubbak (formerly Lokal) is a food ordering app run by Nexara, the trading name of الخدمة الذهبية للاستشارات الحاسوبية, commercial registration 83800, Amman, Jordan. These terms are between you and Nexara. By signing in or placing an order you accept them. Contact: [email protected].
Your account
You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time code we send by SMS. Keep your phone and your codes to yourself: an order placed from your account is treated as yours.
Shubbak is for people 18 and over.
The kitchens
Each restaurant on Shubbak cooks its own food and is responsible for it: the dishes, their ingredients and allergens, their quality and hygiene. Nexara runs the app and passes your order to the kitchens; Nexara does not cook.
Dish names, photos, descriptions and prices come from the kitchens. If you have an allergy, write it in Special requests in your Mix, or in Note for the kitchen on the dish. A note is a request to the kitchen, not a guarantee.
Ordering
The app shows the kitchens in the food hall that delivers to your address, and which of them are open now. Before you place an order the app shows the dishes, the delivery fee, any service fee, any tip you add for the courier and the total.
A Mix is one order from several kitchens in the same food hall. One courier brings it, for one delivery fee.
Delivery times in the app are estimates.
Prices and payment
Prices are in Jordanian dinars. You never pay more than the total you confirm at checkout. You pay less if part of the order is cancelled (see below) or an offer lowers it.
Payment is cash on delivery only: you pay the courier when the order arrives, for every order, including a Mix.
Cancelling an order
When you tap Place order, the app waits 5 seconds before it sends the order, and the same button reads Cancel. One tap on it in those 5 seconds cancels the order. Leaving the checkout screen or the app in those 5 seconds cancels it too. Nothing is sent to the kitchens before the 5 seconds end, and you owe nothing for an order cancelled this way.
Once the 5 seconds are over, the order is with the kitchens and cannot be cancelled in the app. If something is wrong, contact us straight away (see Problems with an order).
A kitchen may be unable to make your order, or its part of a Mix. The app tells you, and you do not pay for food that is not made. If your whole order is cancelled, you owe nothing. If one kitchen drops out of a Mix, the rest of the Mix still comes: that kitchen’s food comes off the total, and the delivery fee and any service fee stay. Because you pay cash, there is nothing to refund: the courier collects the new total the app shows.
Problems with an order
If something is missing or wrong, tell us as soon as you can on WhatsApp at +962 79 594 3016 or at [email protected]. We take it up with the kitchen.
Using Shubbak fairly
Do not place orders you do not intend to receive and pay for, sign in with someone else’s number, or try to misuse or break the app. We may suspend or close an account that does.
Our responsibility
We run Shubbak with care, but we cannot promise it is always available or free of errors. Nexara is responsible for running the app and handling your order; each kitchen is responsible for its food. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under Jordanian law.
Your data and your account
How we handle your data is set out in the Shubbak Privacy Policy. You can delete your account at any time, except while an order is on its way (wait until it is delivered). A suspended account is deleted by contacting us. See Delete your Shubbak account.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the courts of Amman have jurisdiction.
Changes
If we change these terms we update the version below and, for a material change, tell you in the app. Current version: 2026-10-23.
