How to set up a new branch in Nexara, step by step
Opening another branch means checking that its orders reach its kitchen while the existing branch keeps serving. A ticket printing across town is the kind of setup mistake you want to catch before the first customer pays.

Add a branch under its company, then configure and test its ordering operation before opening. Nexara is a restaurant order and operations platform built in Amman, Jordan, with branch-specific access, printing and menu availability. Available features depend on your plan; the founder can help you complete branch setup through WhatsApp.
What should you prepare before adding the branch?
Gather the branch name, public address, working hours, delivery coverage, menu items, staff names and printer details. Nexara organises locations under a franchise, company and branch hierarchy. Confirm which company owns the new location before assigning its staff or preparing its menu.
Decide which channels the branch will use. Orders can come from the Nexara Website, its installable browser app, table QR, the call center, Talabat and Careem where partner activation is approved. Website, app and call-center orders carry 0% Nexara commission. Talabat and Careem keep their own commissions.
Nexara sits beside the till as the order and operations layer. Review the Nexara features against the work this branch needs, especially printing, call-center ordering and dine-in service.
How do you create the new branch?
- Open Manage Branches in the Nexara dashboard.
- Create the branch under the correct company, using assisted setup for the entry steps where needed.
- Confirm the branch name and public address with the person responsible for opening the location.
- Verify the new branch is available for user assignments and per-branch product availability.
Each branch has its own order board. Nexara also supports branch inventory and product-by-branch reports, so check that the new location is identifiable before staff start recording work against it. Menu-only branches are supported for locations that need a menu without a full ordering operation.

How do you set hours, address and delivery area?
Prepare the opening and closing times for each operating day and confirm the address used for delivery setup. Nexara supports radius, area-based and polygon delivery zones. Choose coverage that matches where this kitchen can deliver, including streets near the edge of its service area.
- Confirm the public address and provide branch contact details for assisted setup.
- Have the branch's working hours configured and review them before accepting orders.
- Define the delivery area, with founder assistance for zone controls where needed.
- Confirm whether the branch will handle delivery, pickup or dine-in orders.
- Test an address inside the intended coverage and one outside it.
For the restaurant's own delivery orders, Nexara supports dispatch through Careem Express, TopDeliver or Nashmi, as well as a driver role for an own fleet. Growth allows one delivery provider and Pro allows unlimited providers; Free and Starter do not include delivery providers. Confirm the provider setup for this branch before testing dispatch.
How do you assign users and roles?
Nexara supports user-to-branch assignments and twelve defined roles. Assign access by the work each person will perform. For dine-in payments, waiter, cashier and branch_manager roles are restricted to their own branch.
- Identify each person who needs access to the new branch.
- Add or select that person in Users and assign the relevant branch.
- Choose the role and permissions required for their work.
- Have each person sign in and verify access to the intended branch before service.
| Branch task | Relevant role | Check before launch |
|---|---|---|
| Branch operation | branch_manager or manager | Verify access to the intended branch and its orders |
| Phone ordering | call_center | Test customer lookup and order entry |
| Cashier work | cashier | Verify the required branch payment permissions |
| Stock work | inventory_manager | Verify access to the required branch inventory work |
| Own delivery | driver | Confirm the driver's branch assignment and required permissions |
Call-center ordering requires Pro. Before assigning that work, confirm the plan includes it. The branch roles guide explains access across a growing business.
How do you configure printers for the new branch?
Nexara prints Arabic kitchen tickets and receipts on standard ESC/POS thermal printers connected by USB or network. Use Nexara Printing on the branch's Windows printer computer. Growth includes one printer and Pro allows unlimited printers; Free and Starter do not include printing.
- Install Nexara Printing on the branch printer computer with setup assistance where needed.
- Connect the ESC/POS printer by USB or network.
- Check the branch printer in Printing.
- Assign its printer group and location, such as kitchen, bar or cashier.
- Select the product categories that printer should receive.
- Assign an Arabic or bilingual kitchen-ticket or receipt template.
- Print a test ticket and read the item names, modifiers and branch details on paper.
Each printer receives the categories assigned to it. If it fails, the order stays on the board and the ticket waits in the print queue. Re-route categories from the dashboard, or use automatic failover where a backup printer is configured.
Orders keep arriving in the cloud while the branch connection is down, and printing catches up after reconnection. The board needs an internet connection, and Nexara has no offline cash register. Keep a phone hotspot beside the printer computer as a backup.
How do you set menu availability by branch?
Review the catalogue in Products & Menus, Menu Lists or Menu Builder. Nexara supports products, categories, modifiers and modifier groups. Menu channels control which channel sees which menu, while Availability lets you switch products on or off for an individual branch.
- Confirm the menu items this branch will sell.
- Check each price and the choices within its modifier groups.
- Turn unavailable products off for this branch.
- Confirm which ordering channels show the intended menu.
- Check the customer-facing menu after making changes.
Change a price once in the shared catalogue and the change carries across channels. Per-branch availability lets one kitchen pause an item while another continues selling it. Catalogue push to Talabat and Careem is supported where those integrations are activated, so include the activated channels in your menu checks.
How do you test the branch before opening?
Start with the ordering channel the branch will use most. Website, app and phone orders appear on the branch's Live Orders board alongside activated aggregator channels. Follow the order to the physical printer so you can catch a wrong branch assignment or category route before service.
- Place a test order containing an item with a modifier.
- Confirm the selected branch and order type.
- Find the order on that branch's Live Orders board.
- Verify the ticket at the correct printer and compare it with the order.
- Read both languages if the branch uses bilingual tickets.
- Check that the ordered item appears on the intended menu channel.
- Cancel or resolve the test order according to your restaurant's opening checklist.
If the branch uses table QR, enable dine-in and test a table code: the printed ticket should include the table number. QR dine-in starts on Growth. For phone ordering, look up a saved customer and verify that their addresses and past orders appear.
Use the go-live checklist for one day for the wider opening checks. The multi-branch restaurant management guide covers ongoing branch controls in Jordan.
