How do you migrate from POSRocket in Jordan?
Your kitchen cannot pause while someone fixes a menu import. Before you cancel POSRocket, settle what moves and who checks the first printed ticket.

Nexara gives you one branch order board and Arabic kitchen printing as a restaurant order and operations platform built in Amman, Jordan, sitting beside your till rather than replacing it. To migrate from POSRocket, secure your exports, map the menu and test each order channel before switching live intake.
What are you actually replacing?
Write down the problem before choosing a replacement. If your cashier setup works but staff retype delivery orders, you may need a different order layer rather than a different till. Nexara brings Talabat, Careem, phone, website, app and table QR orders into one live queue per branch.
Separate counter checkout from order handling on your requirements sheet. If checkout is the main concern, test cash collection, refunds and closing on the till you intend to keep or buy. Nexara does not provide accounting or ERP connectors.
| Decision | Keep POSRocket when | Consider Nexara when |
|---|---|---|
| Counter checkout | POSRocket is the better pick when counter checkout is your dominant need and your existing setup passes your checkout and closing tests. | You have a suitable till arrangement and need an order and operations layer beside it. |
| Delivery order handling | Your current intake process works well enough to keep. | You need Talabat and Careem orders in the same branch queue as your own-channel orders. |
| Kitchen tickets | Your current printing passes your kitchen's tests. | You need Arabic and English tickets on supported ESC/POS thermal printers. |
| Historical records | Keeping POSRocket access is the better pick while you still depend on its records and have not secured a usable archive. | You have secured your archive and agreed which records need rebuilding. |
The Nexara and POSRocket comparison covers the broader choice. Check the exact workflow between your remaining till and Nexara, including who records the day's net sale and who checks reconciliation at close.
What should you request in a POSRocket export?
Ask POSRocket support which exports your account can produce, in which formats, and whether you retain access after cancellation. Confirm the available fields and any read-only access in writing before issuing cancellation instructions.
- Menu: item names in Arabic and English, product identifiers, categories, prices, modifiers and branch availability.
- Sales archive: transactions, refunds, discounts, payment methods and closing reports for the periods your accountant needs.
- Customer records: permitted contact details and addresses, with identifiers that help detect duplicates.
- Inventory records, if used: ingredients, units, recipes, suppliers and the latest approved stock count.
- Account terms: notice period, final charges, export availability and the date access ends.
Mark each requested field as received, missing or awaiting confirmation. Keep original files unchanged and work from copies. Open the files, check Arabic characters, and compare a closed trading day's exported totals with its saved closing report. Ask your accountant what must remain available for recordkeeping.
How do you rebuild the menu without changing orders?
Use a mapping sheet with the old identifier, destination item, category, modifier group, price and branch. Nexara supports products, categories, modifiers, modifier groups and per-branch availability. Match the exported menu to those fields, then check the destination menu against the approved source.
- Remove duplicate or retired items from the working copy, while keeping the original export.
- Check Arabic names with the person who reads kitchen tickets during service.
- Match each required modifier to its product. Separate charged extras, such as extra cheese, from preparation notes, such as no onions.
- Confirm channel visibility and branch availability. An item unavailable at one branch should not be treated as unavailable everywhere.
- Review tax treatment, discounts and final customer totals with the cashier and accountant.
- Agree how opening stock will be established if you are moving inventory work.
Nexara includes ingredients, recipes, inventory counts and waste records. Keep historical stock movements in your archive unless a specific transfer method has been confirmed. A checked opening count is a clearer starting point than an unexplained balance copied from an old report.
Agree the setup scope and who enters each record before booking a launch date. Avoid making routine menu edits in both systems during preparation. If a price must change, record it in the mapping sheet so the destination does not launch with yesterday's price.
Which order and printing tests must pass?
Run controlled test orders through each channel you intend to use. Nexara receives Talabat and Careem orders, but activation depends on partner approval and configuration. Confirm the destination branch and product identifiers for each outlet before enabling live intake.
- Place an order with an Arabic item name and a paid modifier. Check the branch, total and printed ticket.
- Test pickup and delivery separately. Confirm the relevant address, payment choice and kitchen instructions.
- Test table QR if it is in scope. Check that the ticket carries the correct table number.
- Check category routing so drinks and kitchen items reach their intended printers.
- Test cancellation handling and make sure staff know where to check an order's current status.
- Disconnect the branch internet during a controlled test, restore it, and inspect the waiting tickets.
Nexara prints through the branch's Windows PC to standard ESC/POS thermal printers over USB or network. Receipts stay readable in Arabic even on a printer without its own Arabic font, and English can appear on the same ticket. Confirm the actual printer model and connection.
Orders keep arriving in the cloud while the branch connection is down, and printing catches up after reconnection; the order board itself needs a connection. Keep a phone hotspot near the printer PC. The Nexara operating FAQ explains printing and connection limits.
How do you switch without sending duplicate tickets?
Choose a quiet service window and name the person authorised to approve the switch. Nexara can provide an ordering link on signup day, and printer setup is usually possible the same day. Set the full migration date around export access, menu readiness and the acceptance tests.
- Save the final exports and closing reports before the cutover.
- Freeze the approved menu and confirm staff access for the correct branches.
- Write down which system receives and prints each live channel. Avoid leaving both paths active for the same orders.
- Finish or explicitly assign every open order from the old workflow.
- Enable the agreed destination channels and watch each first live order through to its kitchen ticket.
- At close, compare channel orders, cancellations and refunds with payment records and the till's recorded sales.
Keep a written fallback: who contacts the provider, how new orders will be taken, and which intake path must stop before the old path resumes. Nexara prevents repeat printing of the same ticket within its printing workflow; two separate systems printing the same incoming order can still produce duplicates.
Record unresolved orders by their channel reference, not from memory. Do not cancel access to the old account until the first close has been reviewed and the archive is usable.
What should the migration agreement include?
Ask for a written scope covering data entry, the destination menu, printer setup, channel activation, staff handover and acceptance checks. Assign an owner to every unfinished task. Separate confirmed capabilities from requests that still need investigation.
Nexara has a free plan plus paid plans per branch in JOD, with current rates on request. Call center is a Pro feature, and QR dine-in starts on Growth. Ask for a quote against the workflow you tested, including kitchen printing and every channel you intend to use.
Nexara charges no commission on its own website, app and call-center orders. Talabat and Careem keep their own commissions. Payment processing and any remaining till subscription should be checked separately when comparing ongoing costs.

Questions people ask
Can I import my POSRocket export straight into Nexara?
Have the file structure reviewed against the migration scope described above. Agree who rebuilds each record and how you will check it before approving the transfer work.
Can Nexara replace my POSRocket cash register?
Plan the till choice separately from the order-layer move. Keep POSRocket for counter checkout if it meets your needs, or test another dedicated till against your checkout and closing requirements before cancelling it.
Will my old sales history appear in Nexara reports?
Keep POSRocket sales history in your retained archive under the scope above. Establish a clear start date for Nexara reporting and have your accountant agree how to compare periods across the change.
Can I keep my existing kitchen printers?
Test your actual ESC/POS models over USB or network with Nexara before committing. Bluetooth printers are not supported, and Free and Starter do not include printers.
How long does moving from POSRocket take?
Use the ordering-link and printer setup timing above as the starting point. Book cutover only after the exports, menu and channel acceptance checks are complete.
Does Nexara handle JoFotara or WhatsApp order notifications?
Nexara does not provide JoFotara e-invoicing or WhatsApp order notifications today. Its WhatsApp tool is a conversation inbox for call-center roles.
