Restaurant ordering software in Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman

Your kitchen needs the order, including the extra sauce and the cancellation, without someone typing it again. A regional integration logo does not tell you whether your particular outlet can connect.

Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman: check activation first

Choose software that proves local order intake and kitchen printing. Nexara is a restaurant order and operations platform built in Amman for the Arabic-speaking Middle East. Its live deployments are in Jordan today. It runs beside the till; Talabat and Careem activation in Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain or Oman requires market-specific confirmation and partner approval.

Does Nexara work outside Jordan?

Nexara is built in Amman, Jordan, and its live deployments are in Jordan today. The platform runs through a browser, with a Windows print agent connecting the branch to its thermal printers. That makes operation outside Jordan technically possible. It does not establish that every payment or delivery connection is available to your restaurant.

The dashboard and branded storefront support Arabic and English, as do kitchen tickets and receipts. These are existing product capabilities, not evidence of a live deployment in Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain or Oman. Ask about activation in your market before agreeing to a launch date.

If your search started with “restaurant POS Kuwait” or “restaurant software Qatar,” separate the till from the order workflow. Nexara is the order and operations layer beside the till, not a cash register. It brings supported order channels into one queue per branch. It does not replace the need to verify local receipt and tax requirements.

The Arabic restaurant software guide explains the language requirements to test, including what actually reaches the kitchen printer.

What should you verify about Talabat order intake?

Talabat is the dominant aggregator across these markets, so its order path belongs near the top of your evaluation. Start with your merchant account and outlet identifiers, rather than a general promise that a vendor supports Talabat. A connection must match the right outlet to the right restaurant branch.

Nexara has a dedicated Talabat integration. It receives orders through webhooks, processes incoming cancellations and sends order status back. Catalogue functions include fetching and pushing products, with SKU mapping and outlet mapping. These are supported mechanisms; activation for your market still requires confirmation and partner approval.

  1. Confirm whether your market and merchant account can be activated, and identify who handles partner approval.
  2. Check that each Talabat outlet maps to the intended Nexara branch.
  3. Test a permitted order with modifiers, then compare the order board with the printed ticket.
  4. Test an incoming cancellation and the return status flow before accepting the connection.

Nexara also supports Careem food-order intake, subject to the same market-specific checks. Do not assume that a supported integration means the service is available in every country. The Talabat and Careem order intake guide covers the workflow in more detail.

What needs checking in each country?

Use a country-specific acceptance sheet. Nexara's subscription pricing is in Jordanian dinar today, while your restaurant's selling currency and payment arrangements need separate confirmation. A bilingual receipt also does not establish local tax compliance. Have your accountant check the required receipt fields against an actual test print.

Restaurant locationLocal selling currency to verifyActivation evidence to request
KuwaitKuwaiti dinarConfirmation for the Kuwait merchant account and outlet mapping, followed by an approved order test.
QatarQatari riyalConfirmation for the Qatar merchant account and outlet mapping, followed by an approved order test.
BahrainBahraini dinarConfirmation for the Bahrain merchant account and outlet mapping, followed by an approved order test.
OmanOmani rialConfirmation for the Oman merchant account and outlet mapping, followed by an approved order test.

Nexara supports online card payments through HyperPay when enabled for the company. That product capability is not a promise of merchant approval or local payment-method coverage. Confirm the payment setup for your business before publishing a checkout link.

For a restaurant dispatching its own orders, check delivery coverage separately from aggregator intake. Receiving a Talabat order and booking a courier for a website order are different processes. A working connection for one does not prove the other.

Will Arabic tickets print when service gets difficult?

Nexara drives standard ESC/POS thermal printers over USB or network through its print agent. Arabic text is rendered as bitmap images, so the printer does not need its own Arabic fonts. A ticket can carry English too. Product categories can route to different printers, keeping drinks away from the grill ticket.

Test your actual printer model with long Arabic item names and modifier notes. Check that the cook can read the ticket at a glance. An English receipt from a demonstration printer is not an adequate test for a bilingual kitchen.

If the branch connection drops, orders keep arriving in the cloud queue and printing catches up after reconnection. The order board itself needs an internet connection. Keep a phone hotspot beside the printer PC as a backup; Nexara is not an offline cash register.

If a printer fails, its tickets wait in a queue. Categories can be rerouted from the dashboard, with automatic failover available where a backup printer is configured. Nexara uses printed kitchen tickets, not kitchen display screens. Check the relevant printing allowance when selecting a plan.

What does commission-free ordering actually cost?

Nexara charges no commission on orders through the restaurant's own website, installable app or call center. Talabat and Careem retain their own commissions on orders they bring. Connecting an aggregator does not turn its orders into commission-free direct orders.

Nexara has a free plan plus paid plans per branch in JOD, with current rates on request. Ask for a written scope showing which plan includes the functions you need. Call center access is a Pro-plan feature; QR dine-in ordering starts on Growth. The free plan does not include printer access.

Keep subscription charges separate from card-processing fees and courier charges when comparing costs. Use your actual provider agreements rather than an assumed regional commission rate. Direct ordering changes where an order originates; it does not remove the cost of preparing, collecting payment for or delivering that order.

The branded app installs from the browser. It is not a separate app-store application. Include that distinction in your evaluation if app-store distribution is a requirement.

How should you decide whether to proceed?

Proceed with a scoped pilot only after the market-dependent connections have been checked. Keep your existing till in place during evaluation. Nexara includes a cashier reconciliation report, but that is not an accounting connector or proof that your current cash register exchanges data with it.

  • Write down the order channels the branch actually uses, including any that Nexara does not support.
  • Record the activation status for each required provider and leave unconfirmed connections out of the launch scope.
  • Agree on an acceptance test using your menu and printer, including cancellation and reconnection checks.
  • Confirm support arrangements against your trading hours. Nexara support is through WhatsApp and email on Amman hours, in Arabic and English; founder Issa Al-Dalu answers support.

If you need an already proven local deployment immediately, choose a provider that can demonstrate one in your country. Nexara is worth evaluating when its order board and Arabic printing fit your operation and you can allow for market activation checks.

Does Nexara have live restaurants in Qatar, Bahrain or Oman?

Nexara's live deployments are in Jordan today. Browser access and the Windows print agent make use outside Jordan technically possible, but they do not establish a live local deployment.

Can Nexara receive Talabat orders in all four countries?

Nexara supports Talabat order intake, but activation is per market and subject to partner approval. Ask about activation for your specific merchant account and outlets.

Can I use my existing kitchen printer?

Nexara supports standard ESC/POS thermal printers over USB or network through the Windows print agent. Test your printer model and Arabic ticket layout before rollout.
