Branch hours, holidays and 'closed now' without a phone call
One wrong branch setting can send a customer to the wrong kitchen. Holiday hours make that mistake visible within minutes. The phone keeps ringing while the kitchen team is already preparing for the next service window.

Nexara gives each branch its own hours, menu availability and customer ordering page through a restaurant order and operations platform built in Amman, Jordan. Customers can check the branch status on the website or installable app, while call-center staff look up the branch before taking an order. Holiday exceptions need manual setup.
Why branch hours need one source
A restaurant with three branches may have three different opening patterns. One branch can serve breakfast from 8:00, another can open at 11:00, and a third can close earlier on a quieter day. If the website uses company-wide hours, customers see the wrong answer before they choose an item.
Nexara keeps branch settings, menu availability and order flow connected. The branch chosen by the customer determines which location receives the order on the live order board.
| Channel | Customer sees | Branch receives |
|---|---|---|
| Website | The branch's current status and ordering option | Order on that branch's live board |
| Installable app | The same branded storefront status | Order on that branch's live board |
| Call center | Agent checks the phone record, saved addresses and branch choice | Phone order for the confirmed branch |
| Table QR | Dine-in menu for the serving branch | Ticket with the table number |
Set the branch schedule before publishing a customer-facing message. A closed-now label is useful when it matches the branch that will prepare the order.
What happens when a branch is closed?
When a branch is outside its configured hours, the customer sees that branch marked closed on the ordering storefront before submitting a normal order. A call-center agent checks the caller's phone record, saved addresses and chosen branch, then tells the caller whether that location is accepting orders.
The ordering website is generated from the restaurant's menu and can be installed from the browser as an app. The branch status appears where customers browse products, choose modifiers and submit an order.
Staff use the same branch setting when answering a call. The selected location receives the phone order on its own live order board.
How do the website, app and call center stay aligned?
The website and installable app use the restaurant's branded storefront. The call center uses branch and customer records inside Nexara. An agent can look up a caller by phone number and see saved addresses and past orders before placing a phone order.
The agent confirms the branch, checks its service status and creates the order for that location. The order joins the same live queue used by website, app, table QR, Talabat and Careem orders.

Nexara connects the branch chosen online with the branch chosen in the call-center order screen. The cashier records the day's sale, while Nexara sends orders from each channel to the correct branch board.
How should you handle Ramadan and Eid hours?
Ramadan and Eid can change service windows by branch. In Nexara, update the working-hours settings for each affected branch, check any full-day closure, and then review the public storefront and call-center lookup for that location.
- List the Ramadan or Eid hours for every branch.
- Mark full-day closures separately.
- Update the working-hours setting for each affected branch.
- Open the storefront and check each branch's displayed status.
- Ask a call-center user to look up one branch by phone number and address.
- Tell kitchen and dispatch staff when each service window begins.

Can customers order before opening?
Scheduled or pre-orders are not a confirmed storefront feature in Nexara today. Customers see the branch status outside its configured hours rather than placing a scheduled order through the storefront.
When the branch is open, the storefront supports cash on delivery or pickup, card payment online through HyperPay when enabled, and pay at the counter for dine-in. Nexara's live order board supports delivery, pickup and dine-in order types.
The board needs a connection. Orders can remain in the cloud queue during a branch connection problem, and printing catches up when the printer reconnects.
What should you test before publishing holiday hours?
Test the public storefront from a phone before Ramadan, Eid or a public holiday. Check the saved branch setting against what a customer sees.
- Select branch A and read its opening status.
- Repeat with branch B and compare the times.
- Check that the menu and ordering button match the status.
- Place a test order only if the branch should accept one.
- Confirm the order appears on the correct branch board.
- Ask a call-center user to repeat the branch lookup by phone.
