How Do I Find a Past Restaurant Order?
A customer gives the phone number, but the old order is buried under a busy shift and the manager needs the answer now.

Nexara is a restaurant order and operations platform built in Amman, Jordan, that lets your team search past orders by phone number, channel or external reference, then review, reprint or export the record. It keeps order work beside the till, while the cashier still records the day’s net sale and reconciles at close.
How do I find a past order by phone number, channel or Careem reference?
Nexara brings orders from the call center, website, installable app, table QR, Talabat and Careem into one order history. A completed or cancelled order remains available for review after the rush.
Start with the identifier you have. A phone number opens the customer record, saved addresses and past orders. A Talabat or Careem reference points to the partner order. A channel, date or status filter narrows a wider review.
| Search or filter | Useful when | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Customer phone | A customer calls about a previous order | Open the matching customer record |
| Channel | You need website, QR, Talabat or Careem orders | Limit results to the order source |
| External reference | A delivery partner asks about one order | Paste the partner reference |
| Date or period | A complaint relates to one shift | Select the trading period |
| Order status | You need cancelled, refunded or delivered orders | Review the recorded state |
The fields available can depend on the dashboard view and order source. Use the partner reference first when you have one. With only a phone number, search the customer record and narrow the results by date or channel.
How do I find an order by phone number?
- Open Order History, or open Call Center for an incoming phone enquiry.
- Enter the customer’s phone number in the lookup field.
- Review the matching customer record, saved addresses and past orders.
- Use the channel, date or status filter if several orders appear.
- Open the order to check items, modifiers, payment choice, delivery details and status.
For example, if a caller remembers the delivery address but not the order date, the agent can confirm the customer record, check the recent orders, and open the matching items and modifiers. The live order board remains available for the branch’s current work.

How do I look up a Talabat or Careem reference?
When an order arrives from Talabat or Careem, Nexara records it in the branch order flow with phone, website, app and table QR orders. The external reference is the identifier to use when the partner asks about a specific order.
- Copy the Talabat or Careem reference exactly.
- Open Order History and select the relevant channel.
- Paste the reference into the search field.
- Open the matching order and compare its items, status and partner details.
- Reprint the ticket if the kitchen needs a copy, or export the order for review.
Nexara supports Talabat inbound orders, cancellations, status updates, catalogue handling, SKU mapping, outlet mapping and reconciliation. Careem intake includes orders, status and driver information, item replacement, cancellations, scheduled orders and catalogue or availability updates.
Nexara is live in Jordan today. Talabat and Careem activation depends on partner approval and the market, so ask about activation before opening a branch elsewhere.
When should a manager use filters instead of search?
Search works best with one identifier. Filters work better when a manager is reviewing a shift, branch or channel. For example, filter delivered orders from Tuesday at one branch, then inspect the customer phone and order details connected to a delivery complaint.
- Filter by channel to review website, phone, table QR, Talabat or Careem intake.
- Filter a specific branch and date to check orders from its evening shift.
- Filter by status to review cancelled, refunded, delivered or preparing orders.
- Combine a phone number with a date or channel when a customer has several orders.
Nexara assigns users and order activity to branches. Authorised company users can review activity across the business while each branch works from its own order queue.
What can the team do after finding the order?
| Situation | Next action | Record to keep |
|---|---|---|
| Customer disputes an item | Compare modifiers and open a complaint case | Complaint case linked to the customer |
| Kitchen needs the ticket again | Send a manual reprint from the dashboard | Original order record |
| Partner asks about delivery | Match the reference and verify status | Order and delivery details |
| Manager reviews a shift | Apply date, branch, channel and status filters | Filtered order results |
| Owner needs further analysis | Request or use the CSV export | CSV file for the restaurant |
Complaint cases are recorded separately from casual notes. Nexara supports complaint routing, SLA clocks, escalation and resolution states. For the practical process, see how to log and close a complaint case.
A manual reprint sends the ticket to the branch’s configured printer. Nexara prints Arabic and English tickets on standard ESC/POS thermal printers. If a printer is unavailable, the ticket can wait in the branch queue, then be reprinted or routed to another configured printer from the dashboard.
Can I export the order history?
The Nexara FAQ promises CSV export of orders and customers. It is useful when a manager needs to review a filtered period outside the dashboard or keep a working file for internal use.
- Filter the order history first.
- Check the branch, channel, date and status selections.
- Export the selected results to CSV when available.
- Keep the file in the restaurant’s approved storage location.
- Remove old copies when they are no longer needed.
Nexara says customer data is not used for marketing, and deletion can be requested within 30 days. For the practical workflow, read how to export orders to CSV.
To discuss setup, message Nexara on WhatsApp. The founder answers in Arabic or English during Amman hours.
What to remember
